One's facial appearance is greatly enhanced when supported by a confident smile. But many of us lack that confidence for our teeth are in bad shape for one reason or the other. A dentist is a qualified professional to rescue us under such circumstances.

There are various specializations that he is not familiar with. The specializations usually require more years in study and practice and hence a specialized dentist is supreme to a regular dentist.

Dentists in US are thorough professionals and further specialize in the following branches:

Pediatric dentist - They play a crucial role in guiding the parents to inculcate in their children healthy oral habit from the very beginning. Pacifying oral habits in children are a major concern for parents, for this they can turn to a pediatric dentist. A regular visit to this specialist allows early detection of tooth decay or oral soreness in children to be effectively treated well within time.

Periodontist - These are dentists who specialize in treating the area surrounding the tooth, inclusive of the tissues forming the gum and the jaw bone holding the tooth. Dental problems like bleeding gum, pocket formation in between teeth, abnormal tooth loss or sore gums are all treated by this specialist.

 Endodontist - These dentists specialize with internal treatment of tooth, the inner pulp that comprises of the closely entwined tissue and nerves. Even though a regular dentist can perform this treatment but a severe case needs the attention of this specialist.

Cosmetic dentist - These dentists focus on dental aesthetics and appearance. It is inclusive of the following two specialists:

Periodontist - These dentists mainly specialize with construction and effective installation of dentures while restoring appearance and maintain flawless oral function.
